The Danish Council for Research Policy

The objective of the Danish Council for Research Policy is to further the development of Danish research to the benefit of society.

The Danish Council for Research Policy advises the Government and the Danish Parliament on research at the general level.

It is the recommendation of the council that decision-makers follow these signposts:

  • The high international quality and level of Danish research is to be maintained and developed, and framework conditions should be designed with this in mind.
  • The primary focus should be on the functionality and impact of the instruments used rather than on the organisation of bodies and systems.
  • The research and the results achieved are to create value in society.
